Wow, I haven't been 'round these parts in a looooong time!  I've been spending perhaps too much time on facebook...

Anyway, pregnant again with the second (and final!) child and am interested in finding out if any of you out there has homeschooled your child in kindergarten.  My son has been in pre-school all year and it's been great.  At this particular school he is eligible to go to kindergarten even though he won't turn 5 until next December.  Hubby and I refuse to put him into kindergarten that young.  Two of his pre-school teachers say he's ready, but both his speech therapist and the kindergarten teacher watching him during the screening say he's not.  Now we're waiting to hear if there's room for him in the same pre-school for next year.  Phew!!

Trouble is we don't have the funds to send him off to another pre-school next year, but we've put our son on some wait lists and will apply for financial assistance.  I'm thinking I may just keep him home and do some preperatory lessons for kindergarten.  Any suggestions for books?

What I'm concerned about is him not getting in the play time he needs with other children.  Right now I just want to get through this baby and have a great summer.  Any suggestions of homeschooling would be greatly appreciated!
